Electric Light Shoes

OniTsuka Tigers With Mini City of Lights

The electric light shoes were designed for a Japanese footwear company, Onitsuka Tiger, by Freedom of Creation.

The shoe is 3 feet long and contains a miniature city inside, the stripes resemble streets and highways and tall building point out from the shoe’s opening. The huge shoe is intended to communicate Onitsuka Tiger’s Japanese roots.

I would love to see this thing, I mean it’s not everyday you can see a 3 foot illuminating shoe

Superhero Belts - Fleet Ilya for Anna Sekularac

Superhero Belts - Fleet Ilya for Anna Sekularac

Accessory label Fleet Ilya fused leather with bizarre ideas to create this radical belt collection for Ana Sekularac’s Autumn/Winter 2008 show.

Functioning as stylish complements to Ana Sekularac’s geometric garments, the belts are sculptural designs meant to create bold statements.

In my opinion, the belts look like couture superhero accessories more than anything else. If one day Wonder Woman decides its time for a fashion makeover, the corset-like belts would be perfect for her new costume.

Winged Stilettos - Nickolas Kirkwood Shoes for Autumn/Winter 2008 (GALLERY)

Architectural shapes in footwear are going to continue to be avant-garde fashion into 2009. These winged stilettos are a fabulous example of a designer making the most of the trend.

London-based Nicholas Kirkwood has designed this collection of shoes with funky v-shaped platform soles and sky-high heels. Most of the shoes are done in black, but he also uses violet, teal and a few pairs sport bright blue snakeskin heels.

A few of the designs look like they have been inspired by bats...or perhaps, ‘Batman’? Come to think of it, the colours and details of the shoes do look sort of ‘superhero-esque’.
